Recent work
I've had a long stretch to look back and step out of the "mean time" approach from a couple years ago. "The Air We Breathe" started the shift, and "At the Gap" was an unexpected opportunity to take stock and consider what's next. The recent paintings have had a measured feeling of return. "I was a romantic once" is the caption of a small oil sketch. Probably. Less satire and reaction; more celebration and searching.
